CONSIDÉRATIONS SUR LES PLANTATIONS DANS LES VILLES ET EN PARTICULIER DANS LA VILLE DE MARSEILLE.

Marseille: 1861. Michel was Inspector des Plantations of Marseilles. He begins his report by recounting what had been the deplorable state of the trees in the planted boulevards and squares of Marseilles in 1843. Next he provides a current inventory of both old and new trees in these places throughout the city. The bulk of his text addresses the preparation of soil, the factors involved in choice of trees planted and their maintainence. Michel's text is an extract from Répertoire des travaux de la Société de statistique de Marseille. A brief 9 page report on his work follows his conclusion. OCLC locates 3 copies (Bibliothèque Nationale, British Library, Harvard). 8vo (21 x 13.8 cm); 47 pp.
