We are continuous buyers of
old and rare books on Garden History and are always eager to discuss
potential purchases with private owners, institutions, or fellow
booksellers. The interests of our customers extend broadly and include
subjects as diverse as town planning and seed catalogues, the language
of flowers and garden ornaments. Early works on landscape
architecture and garden design are especially sought, but almost
anything
relating to the history and enjoyment of gardens and horticulture could
be of interest to us.
We seek books on these
subjects in all languages and from all periods, as well as early garden
plans, views, and garden related documents and manuscripts. More
than two decades of specialized bookselling experience together with a
large and international clientele enable us to make competitive and
knowledgeable offers on all that falls within our scope.
Anyone contemplating the
sale of books or documents in our field should feel free to contact
us . We will be pleased to make offers on
significant individual volumes or collections of any size. Single
volumes may initially be evaluated through correspondence. Larger
holdings can be examined in
person, without obligation. We travel several times a year on
buying trips to both coasts of North America and throughout
Europe. If we
should include you on our next buying trip please let us know.
