Harbin: 1941. Woeikoff had served as senior specialist in Horticulture for the Russian Department of Agriculture as well as operating fruit and ornamental plant nurseries, an experimental garden and a school for Gardens at Cholmy before being sent by the communists to spend 20 years in exile in the region situated between Habarovsk and Peking. The text of this work was translated into English directly from rough drafts. Fruits, conifers and evergreens, trees for park and street, shrubs, climbing plants, aquatic plants, and perennials are all discussed. Stapled pamphlet (26.3 x 19 cm); 134 + (vi) pp. + 48 plates from photographs hors texte.
