         An elegant lithographed trade catalogue offering two hundred and thirty-two finely drawn examples of lighting fixtures, from simple but elegant reading lamps to lavish chandeliers or "lustres". Melon & Lecoq were manufacturers of " lustres, lampes et bronzes. " They maintained an "Entreprise d'Eclairage a l'huile et au Gaz pour Villes, Theatres, etc." The lovely lithographed drawings were produced by the atelier of drawing and lithography of Prodhomme, rue de Jarente, Paris.   Small folio, lithographed title page + 62 lithographed plates, of which 27 are double page, bound on stubs.  
         Bound in contemporary brown pebbled cloth, rear outer joints split at head and heel (about 3 cm); occasional mild foxing, but a well preserved copy with the printed ticket of Ressejac & Birbe, stationers, on front paste down.
