         A small monograph on the genera Pelargonium, with chapters on history, cultivation and propagation, and a descriptive listing of recent and choice varieties. Separate chapters are also devoted to calceolaria, verbena and cineraria. Two attractive hand-colored plates are included at the rear. Lemaire was a prolific horticultural author who also edited FLORE DE SERRE and Chauvière was a nurseryman who specialized in geraniums and dahlias.   8vo (18.5 x 12 cm); vii (I) + 144 pp. + (8 pp ads) + 2 folding color plates drawn by Maubert and printed by Remond.  
         Original printed paper covers, foxed along outer edges, but well preserved; text and plates fresh and bright with only the occasional faint foxing; 8 page publisher's catalogue a bit more foxed, but not heavily.
