         One of 525 numbered copies. With etchings by the popular French illustrator, Paul Avril. The text presents a partly fictionalized account of the romance and sensual delights of the Paris flower market. In four parts: " La Marchande des Violettes," La Halle Aux Fleurs," Le Magasin De Fleurs," and "Le Grand Livre de Cythere." The first page of each part is printed in the blank space of an etching connected with the subject matter.   Small 8vo (18.3 x 14 cm); etched frontispiece + (iv) + 63 + (1) + (iv) pp.  
         Original printed floral paper wrappers with light parchment overwrappers showing title printed in gold; some inevitable darkening of overwrapper, but otherwise well preserved.
