This large issue of the GAZETTE is of particular interest for the lengthy contribution on French gardens in America written by Guy de Passillé. The specific focus is on the recent estate gardens designed by Achille Duchêne and Jacques Gréber for wealthy American clients. These are illustrated with 14 gravure plates, several of them folding. There are also sections on Chantilly (by Ernest de Ganay) and Dampierre (by the duc de Luynes).
